In the Yup'ik language, the word “Tunista” means giver or seller. As a subsidiary of Calista Corporation since 1982, Tunista, Inc. started as a property management and real estate sales company. We then expanded our business into 8(a) government contracting, operations and maintenance and construction. In November of 2008 Tunista, Inc. graduated from the 8(a) program, but is still considered a Small Disadvantaged Business and an Alaskan Native Corporation. As a company we continue to focus on facilities management as well as sole sourcing government contracts.
Every year new clients and joint venture partners join our team. As your business partner, Tunista will also invest in new research and development, equipment, and technology and staff training, so that as we expand into new markets our increasing capabilities can continue to reflect your growing needs.
